Green Bean Almondine

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh Green Beans 1 lb. cut ends to remove
  • Lemon Juice 1/2 of a lemon
  • 1 Shallot Minced
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic Minced
  • 1/8 cup Sliced Almonds Crushed
  • Salt to taste

Equipment

  • 1-3/4 Quart Saucepan with Cover
  • 7" Sauté Skillet

Method
 

  1. Cook green beans the waterless way: rinse & drain, then cover and cook on medium low until vapor escapes & cover easily spins.
  2. In a separate sauté pan, add the lemon juice and sauté the minced garlic and shallots in the juice for a few minutes or until slightly cooked. Add a pinch of salt.
  3. Once you turn the green beans to low, add sautéed garlic & shallot to the green beans and continue to cook with cover on.
  4. Plate & top with crushed almonds.
